I think I've pretty much always loved reading. My nan told me that as soon as I learned how, that's all I wanted to do. I remember my long trips to Orkney during the school summer holidays being filled with piles of books from the Stromness library - guzzling different titles from the Point Horror series. At school I was a total Harry Potter nerd, one of those losers who used to finish it within 2 days of its release; HP might be one of the few things I love as much as I love reading. I studied literature for four years in Edinburgh, writing my dissertation on social anxiety in Dracula and Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (I'm also a huge fan of the gothic genre). In August this year I'm starting my PGDE at The University of Edinburgh for Secondary English, hoping to go on to inspire many other annoying, literary nerds.
